A coaching/consulting, project, and solution-centred group, WKA helps uncover new choices to work from and new ways of working by finding what is most needed or wanted and assisting in producing it.

Multi-disciplined/cognitively diverse age, ethnicity, race, gender, identity, domain, and education/experience agnostic, the company is comprised of a core business and learning collective.

Surrounded by a curated and ever-growing network of colleagues ranging from the recently graduated to experienced freelance contractors, senior managers, and executives, William Kerr And associates is comprised of:

  • WKResearch/Consulting/Advising works with organizations and teams and directing them through a research and discovery process to find solutions and assist in producing the necessary change.

In looking for the challenging things that need doing, and pushing the limits of the new world of work, each team relies on the personal experience of the core team, their combined network of connections, and the internal knowledge, experience, and expertise of each client/organization to design, build and execute.

As each project and challenge builds the capacity to discover what is most needed and wanted, and assist in producing it, I/we look forward to hearing from people searching for a solution or direction which may not have initially been explored.

William T.J. Kerr

A High School Arts and Science program, Conservatory of Music (classical piano, classical guitar, musical direction), and College Business Administration (marketing, communications, finance) education are the foundations of my career portfolio.

NLP practitioner, master practitioner, and Stratic Life Coach practitioner certifications form the foundation of my coaching, consulting, advising and teaching framework.

The building blocks of my career encompass operational management, general management, managing director, artistic director, and executive director responsibilities.

The senior-level management, planning, leadership, communication, and financial capabilities developed climbing the ranks of the theatrical, entertainment, and performing arts worlds allowed me to work with and learn from many of the A-list organizations and talents such as The Canadian Opera Company, The National Ballet of Canada, Metropolitan Opera, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Shakespeare Company, Placido Domingo, Hal Prince, Jeff Beck, Tom Jones, and Brad Paisley to name a few.

A five-year stint with the Interim Management organization, “The Osborne Group,” brought me into the corporate, consulting, and freelancing arenas. It’s here I learned that the arts and corporate worlds are more similar than different, that for-profit and non-profit have much to learn from each other, and that leadership is at heart a performing art, whether on stage, in the executive suite, or at the board table.

In working within the entertainment, corporate, and start-up for-profit, not-for-profit, and for-making-a-difference worlds, I found there is an intersection where disciplines and industries meet, generations connect, outcomes converge, and solutions are found.

This is where I now work, at the intersections; multi-disciplined and cognitively diverse age, ethnicity, race, gender, identity, and education/experience agnostic; finding what is most needed and wanted and producing it.

For people and/or organizations looking for new choices to work with, I bring various disciplines, capabilities, relationships, and networks together and combine them with the internal knowledge, experience, and expertise of each client/organization to find, design, build, and produce solutions.
